We have been eating all the steel price increases for awhile now. Steel has went up in incredibly due to the tarriffs and mills being down. We have been absorbing this through less profit and cut backs in labor. I have talked to all our suppliers and there is not any relief in near future.
U.S. hot-rolled coil steel benchmark prices have risen to $1,255 per short ton, which is roughly 151% higher than the baseline levels around January 2020 (~$500 per short ton), marking a four-year high driven by domestic tariffs and constrained foreign imports
We are updating the pricing on the site and it takes a while so order them before they go up.
It's time to pass it it on. Sorry for the inconvenience.
